What I'm Loving...

I'm joining up with Jamie for a little What I'm Loving Wednesday action!  My friend Jenni is now back to blogging and has inspired me to get back on the wagon, too!

I'm loving this sweet eight month old!  What a big boy!

I'm loving that my boys are loving their "Waterbabies" class! What great Daddy/Son bonding!

I'm loving that I'm taking a "me day" off tomorrow!  I'm not loving the trip to the dentist that's part of the day off, but I am loving that I'm getting my hair cut and highlighted and a pedicure.  A trip to Target or the mall may also be in order!

I'm loving my awesome parents, who not only watch Sam two days a week, but make us dinner, clean up our house, and do our laundry while they're here, too!  They are amazing!

On the topic of laundry, I'm loving that our washing machine is now working again!  Word to the wise...invest in a lingerie bag!

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

I'm really loving the manicure and pedicure that I got yesterday.  I don't typically get manicures because I simply hate the fact that my nails start chipping almost immediately.  And when I do get a manicure, I almost always get that neutral light pink color because it's the only color I can handle looking at for a few days!

So yesterday when the manicurist asked me if I was interested in using the UV Gel nail polish, I was intrigued.  She convinced me to pay the extra $12, and in return I would get a manicure that would last at least two weeks.  I've NEVER had a manicure last that long!

The UV Gel polish is very similar to regular polish.  You start off with a base coat, two coats of the color, and then a top coat.  In between each coat, you put your hands under the UV light that you usually use at the end of a normal manicure.  The polish dries almost immediately, which is good for me, as I usually walk out of the salon and almost immediately chip a nail or two.

My nails feel smooth and strong.  I have no chips and they look really good.  I hear this polish can be difficult to get off, so I'll let you know how that goes in a few weeks.  All in all, for a special occasion, I'd say the UV Gel polish is worth the the extra money.

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

I'm loving that I still have five days left of Spring Break!  I so needed this break!


I'm loving that we only have three more weeks until Baby B-shaw's due date.  One of the doctors told me that she wouldn't let me go past forty weeks due to my gestational diabetes and high blood pressure, so that would mean we will meet our little guy in three weeks or less!


I'm loving that I'm getting my hair highlighted on Friday.  She's also adding some lowlights so I won't look so bleached out.


I'm loving that I ordered a "Royal Dozen" from Georgetown Cupcakes in honor of the royal wedding next week.  I had heard about it through their Facebook page, so I stopped by the store to find out more information.  The actual Royal Dozen is mail order only, but they are going to create a special dozen for me.  It will be so fun to celebrate the wedding of Will and Kate (we're tight!) with the girls at school!  I'll be DVRing the actual ceremony!


I'm loving that our house is starting to look "baby ready."  The pack and play is set up, the clothes are washed and put away, our bags for the hospital are packed, and the car seat is installed and being inspected tomorrow!  Let the countdown begin!

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

I'm loving that we had a two-hour delay today.  A snow day would have been even better, but as I say to my kids, "You get what you get and you don't get upset!"

I'm loving that Miss Macey is getting a haircut on Friday.  She is overdue! This is what she looked like right after her last haircut, and that was in late October!

I'm loving my ever-accomodating hubby!  My car has been in and out of the shop due to a dead battery and then a stalling issue this week.  He's taken a cab or gotten a ride to and from work  twice this week just so I could use his car.  He hasn't complained even once about it! What a team player!

I'm loving that Baby B has been kicking and moving like crazy this week.  It's my (not so) subtle reminder that he's a healthy little guy growing inside of me!

I'm loving that we began our baby registry at Babies R Us and Target.  What a relief!

What I'm Loving Wednesday

And this, my friends, is my first installment of What I'm Loving Wednesday!  
I've decided to jump on the WILW bandwagon in attempts to keep up this blogging every day thing I have going on right now (two days in a row, people!).


I'm loving Winter Break!  There is just something about the fact that I can get up when I want, do what I want when I want, eat what I want when I went...I could go on!


I'm loving that I ordered our baby's nursery furniture this morning! It's a smallish room, so we have to be creative with the furniture.  Here's the crib and dresser:

I'm loving that we are celebrating Christmas with my in-laws, especially our cutie nephews Jack and Will, tomorrow.

I'm loving that Kurt is attempting to make me into a fashionista.  He got me these boots for Christmas:

So, I naturally had to go buy some maternity skinny jeans.  Now, people who know me well, know that I'm not a skinny jean type of girl.  But, I did it!  I pulled it off with a long sweater! Here's to going out on a limb for fashion!

I'm loving that I attempted to make my co-worker's buffalo chicken dip recipe to take over to our friends house to watch the Military Bowl.  Go Terps!
