Lyrics and Music

Last night as I was laying in bed, I started thinking about different songs and what they remind me of.  A lot of the songs that came into my head were older songs, reminding me of times when I was younger.  Whenever I hear these songs, whether it's on the radio, in a movie, whatever, I think of these specific times:

"Material Girl" by Madonna- Reminds me of sitting on our neighbor's steps with my neighbor/babysitter, Danielle, and her friend, who was also our neighbor, Courtney.  We listened to this song on Danielle's boombox on repeat.  I thought I was hot stuff hanging out with these older girls!  I was probably about seven years old at this time.

"Manic Monday" by The Bangles- Reminds me of playing in my aunt and uncle's basement with my cousins.  Again, they were playing it on repeat, which caused me to memorize the lyrics.  I think I was also probably about six or seven at this time.

"Hold On" by Wilson Philips- Reminds me of when my sister, brother, and I would rollerskate around our unfinished basement.  We would skate and sing along.  We thought we were hot stuff! I was probably about eleven at this time.

"That's What Friends Are For"- Reminds me of doing the sing-along thing at Cedar Point with my cousins.  You go into a booth, they play the music and you sing the lyrics.  It was recorded on a cassette tape, which we got to take home!  I was probably about eleven or twelve when we did this.

"I Think We're Alone Now"- Tiffani version- Reminds me of my high school friends.  We created a dance to this song and would always perform it whenever we were together.

Are there any songs that remind you of specific times in your life?
