Sakura, Sakura...Cherry Bloom!

When my sister was in fifth grade, nearly 20 years ago, she learned a Chinese folk song called "Sakura, Sakura" complete with hand motions.  It translated to "Cherry bloom, cherry bloom."  Every year around Cherry Blossom season here in the DC area, we remind each other of this song, and how we thought we were so cool because we could sing a song in Chinese!

Yesterday, Jenni and I, along with our pups, Macey and Sophie, drove down to DC to meet Kurt and her fiance, Blake, to see the Cherry Blossoms.  The beautiful weather, coupled with Spring Break for many, made for huge crowds down at the Tidal Basin.  Nonetheless, we had a fun time and were able to take some fantastic shots.
